The $19M plan encourages portions of the library to be seen from Vermont Street in addition to a 250-space parking garage. It was completed in July 2014. During construction, the library was temporarily housed in the former Borders Books location at 700 New Hampshire Street.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.lawrence.lib.ks.us/2012/09/whats-up-with-the-renovation/ )〕
